How much does it cost for a site at Blue Trail RV Resort?

We have three different categories of sites, each with different pricing:
1. Ridgeview – our Ridgeview sites are fully serviced with potable water, septic, power and irrigation water and are located at the top of the hill, just as you enter the park on the west side of Hwy 810.
2. Riverside – our Riverside sites are located along the bank of the Waterton River. These sites are not serviced, but most have access to irrigation water.
3. Non-Serviced – all the other campsites are not located on Ridgeview or Riverside and most have access to irrigation water.

How do I get fresh water and septic service?

Septic service is available on Tuesday - Thursday of each week, upon request, at a cost of $30 each but emergency service is available at an additional cost of $75 on other days. Potable water delivery service is supplied within 24 hrs of your request anytime during the week at a cost of $20 per service. (No services available on Sunday) Please complete a request envelope at the camp office for these services. Payment is cash, cheque or e-transfer.

What makes Blue Trail RV Resort unique?

Perhaps it’s because we have incorporated lots of green grass and recreational areas, including our 5 hole executive golf course. Everything looks open and vibrant! Most of the RV sites are tree lined or waterfront. The spacious skies are endless and at night you will be amazed by all the stars!

Can I have a dog in the park?

Yes, dogs are allowed in the park except those specified in the contract. Dogs must be in your RV unit, on a tether or on a leash at all times. Immediate cleanup after your dogs, no matter where they are is required. Dog insurance is not required but you must take responsibility for your dog at all times. We do not have an off-leash area. Dogs may go into the river but not where there are people present.

What improvements can I make to my site?

You may plant shrubs, trees and flowers on your site or even have a rock garden. Small boxed gardens are permitted if maintained and does not encroach on your neighbor’s site. We allow deck construction on your site. A small storage trailer or an 8’x8′ shed is permitted, if space allows and does not block your neighbor’s view. Permission from management is required for building all structures on your campsite.

Are the park gates ever locked?

Yes, gates are locked after October 15 and until May 1 of the next season. The code to the padlock, for your anytime access, is provided to campers. The roads are not plowed during the winter months except in Ridgeview. As of the 2018 season, we now have a year-round camp host (Tim & Marilee Campbell) living on site in Ridgeview #155.

Can I have guests stay overnight?

Overnight guests are welcome when they stay in your RV unit. A guest may park their RV or tent on your site for one weekend per month for a fee of $25/night for the RV. There is no additional fee for a tent for the weekend.

Where can I buy propane?

Propane bottle filling is now available at Blue Trail RV Resort. Please call Tim at (587) 370-2355 before you come, to ensure our certified staff are on site to fill your tank. Prices are $30 for 20 lb, $40 for 30 lb and $100 for 100 lb tank. Payments can be made by credit card (subject to a 3% processing fee), cash or e-transfer.

Are there restaurants nearby, or somewhere I can buy groceries?

Fresh vegetables, ice and grocery items can be found in the Village of Glenwood at Van-Dan’s General Store. Ice cream can be purchased at the Pioneer Parlor. Tina’s Cafe is available for lunch, dinner. You can order hot pizza’s and fresh bakery items as well. Organic fresh vegetables and frozen meat can be purchased at a local farm market called Room to Grow, which is 1 km from the Resort. The closest Walmart is located in Pincher Creek.

What does it cost to play golf?

$10 for 5 holes, $15 for 10 holes or $25 for all day. Annual individual memberships are $100/year and family memberships are $250/year. Family memberships are for parents and children. Golf clubs and pull carts are available.

Are quads allowed in the park?

Motorized ATV’s are not allowed in the park due to noise and safety concerns. Golf Carts are welcome and of course, children under 16 are not permitted to operate any motorized vehicles without a licensed driver riding with them.

What is your activity center?

We have a covered gravel enclosure in the recreational area that will seat 100 people. Please contact the office to reserve the activity center for your next event. There is no cost to use this facility to our campers. This is a great place for games, BBQ’s and parties.

Is there access to the river?

River access is available at 5 different sites in the Resort. There are 3 access points on the west side of the highway, and 2 on the east side of the highway. Watch for signage directing you to river access. Please do not access the river through someone else’s campsite.

Who does site maintenance?

You are responsible for the maintenance of your site. This includes mowing your own grass. If your site is not maintained, management reserves the right to maintain your site at your expense. Mowing services are available for $25. Please contact Marilee at (587) 370-3296 for availability.

Do you flood in the spring?

Historically, we have not flooded. However, we did flood in 1995 and 2014. These floods were caused by human error and not due to inclement weather. The campground is, however, on a flood plain, and you are responsible to move your RV if necessary.

What is an approved firepit?

Any above ground enclosure with a spark arrester or screen that can be put over the top of the fire at the end of the day. Please be sure to always have plenty of water available before starting any fire at your campsite.

What activities are available?

At Blue Trail RV Resort you can play a round on the 5-hole executive golf course, swim, fish and raft the river, beach comb, hike, play volleyball and horseshoes.
